This course is designed to cover diseases of epithelium, soft tissue and salivary gland focusing on the most important and applicable clinical information that the dental practitioner can use to help their patients. It will cover oral cancer, tobacco and HPV-related. It will discuss the most common immune mediated diseases to include lichen planus, lichenoid mucositis and mucous membrane pemphigoid. The topic will address oral single swelling discussing them according to site such as gingival reactive swellings, palatal swelling focusing on salivary gland neoplasms and others. If time allows, most common oral pigmented lesions will be discussed.
