In this hands-on clinical technique workshop, attendees will gain confidence and thorough understanding of the difference between functional and non-functional movement of the cervical spine, TMJ and orofacial complex. Attendees will evaluate active, passive, and resistive range of motion, understand the difference between isometric and isotonic movement and learn clinical intraoral manipulation techniques that can be applied either chairside or via telehealth. We explore trigger points, including dental clinical relevance, differential diagnosis and referral pain patterns.
Supplies to bring: comfortable clothing, blank, pillow.
PREREQUISITES to Participate in Workshop: Attendees must take the following course and must have TMJ assessment included in their scope of practice.
